BUSHIDO = Way of the Warrior (Japanese code of conduct and moral principles that the samurai warriors followed, emphasizing honor, loyalty, courage, and selflessness). BUDO = The Martial Way (Encompasses the philosophical and ethical principles that guide the practice and application of Japanese martial arts). As westerners you have been shown a violent, battle hardened Samurai war version of Bushido. Here at Ten Budo, we believe in telling the whole story. The Bushido code is one of Honor, Justice, Courage, Benevolence, Politeness, Veracity, Duty, Education, Self Control and BUDO. At Ten Budo, we wish to share and promote both sides of the Samurai. The truth. The Path. The way. Budo is the practice of ones martial art to train to become a living weapon. Though there must be balance. As a Budo practitioner one must know when to use this gift and one must know when not to. Through life one must also learn that you cannot walk around your daily life in the Martial arts fighting frame of mind. One must have a balance to allow one to see the beauty of life around while still being able to defend and serve at any moment. Creating a whole Budo practitioner is our goal at TEN BUDO.
